When Oreo took the world by storm with their absolutely adorable ad with the little boy enticing his Labrador. Teaching him how to eat an Oreo, I know you remember it. “First you twist it, then you lick it, then you dunk it…” I don’t know a single person who didn’t eat an Oreo that way, just because the ad was so well done. Last year for World Chocolate Day (7 July) Oreo got a little better, a little sweeter and that much more enticing by introducing Oreo Enrobed.
The awesome chocolate biscuit sandwich with cream filling is available wrapped in SA’s favourite chocolate – Cadbury Dairy Milk! I could barely contain my excitement when I received an invitation to this wonderful additions first birthday, and of course, I HAD to be there. We were not disappointed. Arriving at 39 on Church we were welcomed by balloons, cake, and lots and lots of Oreo Enrobed. A nostalgic classic wrapped in sophisticated velvet – chocolate has a way of making even the best things that much better doesn’t it?
The Oreo Enrobed Party!
Utterly spoiled at a party honouring the birthday biscuit, we laughed at the antics of a clown. I am frightfully nervous of clowns (IT scarred me for life!), but Moaz is very entertaining and talented. He created a Pink Panther around me with balloons, and I’m not quite sure how but there was a floating table! Somehow he also managed to get me to walk around wearing a Pink Panther balloon. Very talented!
Cute & Chic Event Styling decorated and garnished our event with a sweety table to match any sweet tooth. These included a beautiful cake by KPA Creations, mouth-watering macarons by Ginger Pops, chocolate covered toffee apples, candy floss and of course Oreo Enrobed.
The girls from ECMeetUp have once again outdone themselves with the organising of this event, we even had a professional photographer! Memories to last a lifetime of the momentous occasion. This was a lovely break from mom life and just life in general! It was much needed after a month of playing nurse, and eventually ending up “man down” myself. Thank you for hosting an awesome first birthday Oreo Enrobed!
