Just like that – December is here! Schools are out – Christmas feelings are in full swing, and well all the work that comes with that too. This Christmas represents so much for our family and I cannot wait to just be home relaxing! 2018 has been a long stressful year! Enough about that, I’m sure you are hear to find out about this competition I’ve been promising!
Maybe it’s the short attention span at 19 months, that has some toys fail and others rocket. Perhaps some toys look to us “adults” like so much fun, when in actual fact they are pretty boring. Especially after the paper comes off! Whatever the reason may be – our toddler plays with 3-4 items out of his boxes of toys.
The never-ending story in my home has come to a gigantic halt! Thank you LG Sapience Top Loader with Smart Inverter. No seriously, I mean it. There’s this meme that I always laughed at, the never-ending story as a child and a picture of “The NeverEnding Story” and then next to it a picture of a laundry basket eluding to the adult version. It was more true for me than I could explain and I’m sure many moms can agree. (more…)
After giving into the cellphone craze and getting Emilie one for her birthday. Gasp! I know. I regretted it a lot. Not just because it was a little irritating. In her excitement she would send me hundreds of voice notes, pictures and emoticons daily (after school). It was also a little scary. The mobile network we chose recycled numbers, so the number we had belonged to someone prior to us having it. Meaning she received strange calls at least once or twice a week.
I recently discovered a few things about myself after a few incidents at the office where my pants decided that they didn’t want to do their thing any longer and split. It was heartbreaking for me. Funny, but very very inconvenient. I am a mom. It defines me. Part of being a mom, means I rarely find the time or the money to shop for myself. So the pants saga was just awful. Firstly – I still haven’t bought new pants because a) the shops just don’t have a style right now that speaks to me and b) I’ve only tried to look once because who has the time.
