Sometimes I find products, places and things that I absolutely adore and figure if we all in this trial and error together let me tell you what worked for me. :)
The heart is such a complicated vessel, the psychological one I mean, but much like the real one. The signs and symptoms of something being wrong with it, are very vague and not as visible as chicken pox per say. But boy oh boy, when the problems are there – they seemingly spill over into all areas of your life. Enemies of the heart is the kind of book that you don’t want to put down it’s that good. Bringing your own hearts desires, muck and ugliness to light on the other hand is not comfortable, and if you are anything like me – you will stop reading.
Port Elizabeth is gaining so many new experiences, and I am soooo excited to be able to share them with you. After our Segway Tours two weeks ago, we were invited to a lunch at Black Impala! Just thinking back to this day makes my tummy rumble, no matter the time. Black Impala is a “braai bar”, and a completely unique experience in the bay. They offer a “Bay Genuine Draft Saint Nelson” and the popular Jane Doe cider (on tap) too, specially created by local breweries.
As you know “finding your balance” can mean so many different things, but mainly it means to distribute things evenly. This enables you to remain upright or steady, or in life to be sane or at least feel it. Last week Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism (NMBT) invited us to attend the launch of the Segway Beachfront Tours in Port Elizabeth. Which was something completely different to what I expected. To be honest thinking back, I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t what happened.
I recently discovered a few things about myself after a few incidents at the office where my pants decided that they didn’t want to do their thing any longer and split. It was heartbreaking for me. Funny, but very very inconvenient. I am a mom. It defines me. Part of being a mom, means I rarely find the time or the money to shop for myself. So the pants saga was just awful. Firstly – I still haven’t bought new pants because a) the shops just don’t have a style right now that speaks to me and b) I’ve only tried to look once because who has the time.

The wind in your hair, sea sand at your feet, beautiful scenery around you. You are laughing and chatting to friends and loved ones, while small trickles of sweat gather on your forehead. Your heart is racing a little as you pedal slowly (or quickly) on your fat bike. Focusing on the road but also just taking in the ocean you love so much from a completely different perspective.
Sound like fun?
