I love me some competitions – for some reason I am extremely lucky when it comes to them. My belief on that is “You got to be IN it – to WIN it!” so go ahead… enter that competition!
Date nights are far and few in between in our home, as mentioned previously we make time to spend at least 30 minutes in devotional every day (When our situation allows of course!). When Christian Art Media sent me the new Mr & Mrs Collection hamper, I was absolutely elated that it contained 52 date night ideas and a sweet devotional as well! They have also given me an extra set to host a giveaway for one lucky reader! Accckkk!!!
Summer is a difficult time for eczema sufferers, in my experience, sweat really aggravates sensitive skin in the worst way. As I have mentioned many times before, Baby Dove really did change things for us in terms of Daniel’s sensitive skin. Being diagnosed at 10 weeks old was heart-wrenching for me, we have since found a really good skin routine. This includes managing his sudden flare ups, as well as keep his skin healthy all year round.
Can you picture a stream of Superheros along side the Beachfront and in our beloved Happy Valley? What an amazing sight! If you can’t picture it then you definitely need to keep reading. St Francis Hospice is hosting a SuperHero Fun Run or Walk for those of us whose running skills are zero (like me). It will be held on the 3rd of March starting in Happy Valley at 07:00, down Marine Drive and ending in Happy Valley again. (3kms not so bad at all!) Excited? Me too!
The heart is such a complicated vessel, the psychological one I mean, but much like the real one. The signs and symptoms of something being wrong with it, are very vague and not as visible as chicken pox per say. But boy oh boy, when the problems are there – they seemingly spill over into all areas of your life. Enemies of the heart is the kind of book that you don’t want to put down it’s that good. Bringing your own hearts desires, muck and ugliness to light on the other hand is not comfortable, and if you are anything like me – you will stop reading.
My husband and I are really different, I guess it’s why we work so well. We like different music, different movies, he’s introverted… I’m not. You get the gist. So usually when one of us wants to do something fun – for say a date night. It usually means compromise. Because we inevitably go to watch some new DC or Marvel film he’s been wanting to watch for ages. (more…)
