Being a grown up is hard, this is how I have found it…

Mother’s Day Connect – Will you make a difference?

You may have noticed that my recent theme has been a lot about pregnancy, and my own feelings about being a mother. It may be because some of us are so blessed (I’m talking about myself. I am blessed.) Blessed that although my period of pregnancy as a young girl entering motherhood was difficult, I was fully supported. Supported by friends and family, on the day I gave birth I was surrounded by loved ones. Not every mother is this blessed. With this in mind the awesome team at Embrace has started a wonderful campaign – Mother’s Day Connect.

Showing mom her worth this Mother’s Day!

I think up until you become a mother yourself, you do not begin to grasp the weight of what the role actually is. You can imagine, and you can love but you can’t understand the depth of her heart until you truly feel it yourself. For Mother’s Day this year why not bless your mom with some beautifully crafted heartfelt scripture inscribed goodies from Christian Art Gifts? The “To Mom with Love Collection” is absolutely beautiful in its floral pink detailed design.

Unashamed that God wrecks me. Every. Single. Time.

I am a cry-er. Literally, that person who cries when happy, sad, anxious, angry… I just cry. I’ve been called a cry baby, over sensitive and over empathetic, I’ve accepted them. Most times my tear ducts just have a will of their own and I honestly can’t help it. This happens to me so much in church during praise and worship! I will be standing there singing and my eyes will just start doing their thing. This Sunday was no different except this time, I was proud of it.

Mom on a mission, a successful VBAC story!

Vaginal birth after c-section or VBAC, is a topic that has been discussed at great length. Mostly by mother’s who couldn’t give natural birth themselves, and would like to try natural birth thereafter. My own births were first vaginal and then c-section. My good friend Janine, has however successfully had a VBAC with an amazing story. It moved me. She has graciously allowed me to share her story to encourage or motivate any mom who might be considering this too.
